Groups & Bootcamp

As a mum of 2 kids (10 & 8) and working full time I thought it was about time that I started to do something for me. I am always running the kids to training, dancing etc. but when was it going to be my turn. I decided last winter that it was my turn....I was a fat size 14 and was not happy with myself. I started sessions with Caroline which evolved into Bootcamp.

 

I attend bootcamp twice a week which I love, the bonus being that I have met some great friends (I must say that it is nice to meet people through something that I am doing for me, not just mums and dads of the kids friends). I am also running 3-4 times a week before work as my training for the running group which is held fortnightly (which I also love).

I have more energy and am happier than I have been in years (despite all the pressures of full time work / kids etc.). I find now that I am only grumpy if I dont get my exercise, I am addicted to the buzz!! I have not felt so strong and energetic since I was a child (actually if ever). You can now see muscles in my arms that were always there but were just under the flab, my legs are stronger and are getting more & more defined, I have a fairly flat stomach now and my husband keeps asking where my bum has gone.

Yesterday I ran the Kembla Joggers 5km fun run in Wollongong. I completed the run in 28 minutes & 28 seconds (without stopping / walking I must add). My family were there cheering me on & last night they could not stop telling me how proud of me they were...I must say that I am also proud of myself. I am going to do more 5km runs and then progress to longer runs, and I have now signed up for the 12 week fitness challenge - and am excited about it!! I want to lose another 7kg so I am looking great in my bikini when I go to Thailand in September currently Caroline & I are working on this!

I have tried gyms and diets my whole life as I am genetically challenged (my excuse) and have always battled with my weight but still ended up as a fat size 14...since meeting Caroline my life has changed dramatically...as I mentioned I am happier and healthier...there is no down side. Caroline is not just a trainer, she takes a personal interest in you, she is much more like a friend who helps you achieve your goals...she is fantastic & I would recommend her to anyone....

I contacted Caroline a couple of months ago because I needed to be inspired about feeling healthy again. I am 43 years old and at a point when turning things around starts to get significantly harder - I am glad to say that it has been a great success having lost more than 7kg to achieve my target weight, while gaining some great new habits along the way, especially relating to my diet. Caroline fosters a great camaraderie between her students and although the work is hard, it is very satisfying to see significant positive results while having a laugh along the way. I recommend both the Bootcamp and Fitcamp sessions to anyone of any age to help get out of a rut and feel truly great about yourself again.

Since training with Caroline my fitness has improved, I have lost weight and I have become a lot more confident and motivated to reach my fitness goals. Stroller fitness has given me the flexibility to do a great workout, get some fresh air, and get both my son and I outside. I feel great, look good and always look forward to each session. I like how I can mix up my sessions giving myself variety and Caroline has always there to motivate and support me along the way. Once you start to work outdoors with her, you will never go back to the gym again!

Discovering Caroline's group fitness sessions has provided me with a very positive start to 2010. I have noticably improved my cardio fitness and overall strength, stamina and attitude to working out which has improved my self confidence and energy levels. Caroline provides a fun and motivating environment in her sessions and mixes up the outdoor workouts to keep it interesting and constantly challenging, without it being intimidating for a newcomer. Never would I have imagined myself commando crawling along the sand, throwing tyres or doing push-ups in the mud!! Joining Attitude to Burn has been a lifechanging experience for me in every way. I decided to join Bootcamp after having my third daughter, after constantly thinking about losing weight and getting fit. I quickly learned from Caroline that making changes to my life started with my attitude. Both the Bootcamp and Fitcamp sessions are packed with variety and most importantly great fun. As a busy mum of two young children time commitment to exercise has always been tricky. However after the birth of my second child I really wanted to raise my fitness level. I was always put off by indoor gym's substantial membership fees, so I joined Attitude to Burn's Mums and Bubs stroller fitness session. It felt so good exercising outside and I could feel the health benefits straight away. I started squeezing in other sessions into my week and i have been achieving my personal goals and raising my fitness level. Caroline and her team are really encouraging and very professional. Joining the lunchtime express boot camp was the catalyst for improving myfitness and more importantly, has given me so much energy for life. After having 2 children and many kilos heavier, I was feeling sluggish and unfit. I recall in one of the earlier classes, Caroline advised me that unless I increased the amount of exercise and changed my diet, then nothing would change. So I went about changing things. In conjunction with a healthier diet, being a lunchtime boot camp regular has allowed me to lose all that post-baby weight and unwanted body fat. I am now at my target weight and fit into my pre-baby clothes. My fitness has improved beyond expectation and I always feel revived and buzzing with energy after the classes, so thank you for providing great routines, a great sense of humour and a great venue outdoors in the sunshine and fresh air at lunchtime is a much better alternative to sitting at your desk in stale office air!!!

Personal Training

We have been having personal training sessions with Caroline for just over 6 months now. We've also joined in the occasional group session and sweated off a few kilos at the inaugural barefoot bowls match. Caroline has done something we never thought would be possible - made exercise fun! We always have a laugh, but more importantly, have noticed definite improvement in our overall fitness level. Attitude to Burn is great value for money and the flexibility to fit in with our busy lifestyle is always appreciated.
